A 3 hour 4 mile 1,250' AEG hike to Horse Pasture Tank eager for more white-tail deer encounters. This trip we would encounter first a nine-point buck, next an eight-point buck and finally two does. (I got both bucks on video.)

A 3 hour 4 mile 1,450' AEG hike up Peachville Mountain along Forest Road 2398 to visit three old mines. At the first one I encountered a family of white-tail deer who had just gotten their fill of water.

A 2.5 hour 3.8 mile 1,280' AEG hike along with 4.5 hours sitting while waiting for deer to come to Horse Pasture Tank to drink. I filmed two young bucks and later a single younger buck. (Video link will be posted on the 2017 Videos page on my site.)

A 3.5 hour 6.7 mile 1,589' AEG loop hike out on the East Mountain Trail 214 and back along Pioneer Pass Road. We did this hike to see the new growth a full 100 months after a fire on East Mountain.

A 6 hour 6 mile 2,129' AEG hike to the summit of Peak 5128 in the Superior Quadrangle. I had six separate whitetail deer encounters, an eight-point buck, a ten-point buck and a doe with two fawns.

A 6 hour 10.1 mile 2,861' AEG hike to the summit of Hopkins Mountain via the Hell's Hole Trail. Highlights of the hike were finding bits of ancient pottery at the summit and later a 40" right antler... half of a 12-point bull elk.
